Mouthwatering Chaat

There are many Chaat recipes out there - Aloo Chaat, Chana Chaat, Samosa Chaat. But my Chaat is Chaat with a difference. I like to combine sweet, tangy and spicy flavours together and the result is mouthwatering and delicious and guaranteed to tickle your taste buds. With Spring approaching this is the perfect recipe for a snack or a light lunch.

Ingredients 

Chickpea cans - 2
Cucumber - half, chopped and diced
Red onions - 3/4, thinly sliced
Cherry tomatoes - 8, chopped
Lemon - 2, juiced 
Tamarind sauce
Full fat Greek yoghurt - 1 tub 
Potatoes, 8 medium sized, boiled and diced
Sweet Chilli peanuts - half a bag, crushed
Chaat Masala - as per taste
Sugar - as per taste

Method

1) Add the Chickpeas, boiled potatoes, cucumber, tomatoes, red onions into a large enough bowl.

2) Take 3/4 tblsp of yoghurt and sweeten it with a little sugar and thin it out with some water. Add some tamarind sauce to this if you want and pour it over the other ingredients in the bowl.

3) Mix some sugar into the lemon juice and combine with the other ingredients.

4) Add the crushed peanuts, chaat masala , dollop of thick yoghurt, and tamarind sauce before serving and enjoy.
