How I make Aloo Keema (minced meat with potatoes)

This is a simple dish that is quick to make which is a must for busy mothers!

Ingredients

Minced meat - 1kg
Potatoes - 3 medium sized, cut into chunks
Tomatoes - 2, purées
Garlic - 1 bulb
Ginger - 1 piece, crushed
Chilli powder - 1 heaped teaspoon
Chilli flakes - 1 level teaspoon
Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 heaped teaspoon
Turmeric powder -  1 teaspoon
Black pepper, crushed - 1 teaspoon
Olive oil - as per requirement
Green chilli and julienned ginger for garnishing
Salt to taste.

Method

1) In a pan add all the ingredients and fill it up with water. Allow to boil on a medium to low heat and cook until almost cooked.

2) Add the potatoes and cover until cooked

3) Add the olive oil and fry until the oil separates

4) Garnish with green chilli and ginger.

Serve with roti, naan or boiled rice.
